A farmer is a person who owns or works on a farm, growing plants and sometimes raising livestock. A farmer is responsible for proper nourishment of the plants and livestock that he/she raises, then sells the harvest and livestock to others.
Education requirements may range from on the job training, a high school diploma, certification, or an Associate's degree.
