Just like people, plants need the proper nutrition to grow and thrive. Many gardeners and new “houseplant-parents” think any plant fertilizer will do the job. But did you know that the N-P-K label on your fertilizer can really make a difference to the health of your plants? Different varieties of plants need different types of fertilizers to help them to be their best.
Join the Hendricks County Garden Club virtually on January 27, 2021 at 5:30 pm as we welcome guest speaker, Cari Peters Raymond, Ph.D. of the J.R. Peters Fertilizer Company. Dr. Peters Raymond is a plant nutrition scientist and horticulturist. She is the master-crafter working with the Jack’s Blue Crew to bring new fertilizer formulas to the horticulture industry. She also manages the J.R. Peters Laboratory and provides technical support to growers using the lab or Jack’s products. She’ll open your eyes to the wide variety of plant nutrition formulations and which ones are best for your roses, petunias, succulents, tomatoes, beans and more. You’ll never simply put a general mixture of 20-20-20 on all your plants again!
This is a casual, free event, but you must pre-register to participate. You don't have to live in Hendricks County Indiana to participate - everyone is welcome. We will use the virtual meeting software, ZOOM. You don't need special software to participate, just a computer or phone. Join us on camera, or simply with audio.
